Mission Statement:  DC Sportbike Riders is a local society of strong, positive men and women from different walks of life with a common interest – Sportbikes. The mission of the Club is to promote safety, encouragement and entertaining sportbike riding while also demonstrating the positive aspects of motorcycling to the general public. DC Sportbike Riders also strives to contribute to our community to make a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate. In addition, DC Sportbike Riders hopes to promote unity amongst sportbike riders in the Washington Metropolitan Area while enhancing relationships with sportbike riders nationally.

Norm Jackson had a vision to organize like-minded sportbike riders in the Washington DC metropolitan area. He shared this vision with others and in 1999 the DC Sportbike Riders (DCSR) MC was founded.

During DCSR's infancy lessons were learned, which led to the club being restructured and revitalized in 2001. The re-birth of DCSR was led by Luther "Ljazz" Winder (DCSR President 2001-2006).

DCSR changed the internal operations of the club and enhanced the clubs relationships with the Motorcycle and non-Motorcycle communities at large. DCSR has emerged as a highly respected and award winning motorcycle club active inside and outside of the motorcycle community throughout the East Coast. Always supportive of its club members and the larger MC family, the DCSR light shines brightly through its continued dedication to charitable and self-help organizations in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Collectively, DCSR believes "You Never Stand So Tall as When You Bend to Help A Child".
