Motorcycle world ~ introducing the 2008 hosting club of the Female Sport Bike Weekend (FSBW), coming to you from the heart of the south, Eye Kandi M/C. This group of 13 lovely ladies reside in the southern city of Atlanta, GA. Founded in 2004, these women grace the streets as licensed riders. With 3 founding members, these ladies are governed by a Board of Directors. Now, that’s what you call organized. The group strives to set themselves above the rest by being active in the Atlanta motorcycle scene, as well as giving back to the community by volunteering with local charities. Not only are these ladies riders, but, they are mothers, sisters, educators, and wives. With a name like Eye Kandi, you have to expect that these women have a sweet disposition. PR, the SNICKER bar of the group is a filled nugget, covered with milk chocolate goodness. KB, the LEMON HEAD leader, admits her personality has a lemony beginning, but ingest her long enough and you’ll reach the sweet center of her soul. No candy shop would be complete without a box of RED HOTS; this small bite size burst of cinnamon best describes the co-founder Red Snappa. Last but not least, Markita, Ms KIT KAT bar, doesn’t want you to give her a break, but freeze her and enjoy!!!

The FSBW was created to bring a unity to the motorcycle community that didn’t exist among female riders. To keep the interest and excitement to the event, it is held in different states and by different female clubs. The major appeal to the event has always been the sisterhood and fellowship of females rides coming from everywhere to support each other. The first event in 2003 drew a humble crowd of 100 participants, but as the success of the weekend got around, the following grew to the thousands in the last event held in 2007. Not forgetting about the fellas, but this event is catered to the females and celebrating their existence in the sport of motorcycle riding. Eye Kandi has attended 4 of the 5 yearly gatherings hosted by a wide range of all-female clubs. Traveling to locations from Philly to New Jersey to Miami, these ladies get around. Eye Kandi was impressed with the well-planned and diverse event, so much so that when they were announced the 2008 host, they felt the love and validation from the fellow female riders. To this day, the group is honored by the responsibility given to them to host and present the southern world of riding. You may wonder how your group can be considered for the honor of hosting the event, well it’s pretty simple - have a love for the sport, be an all female group, and attend the event to get a better understanding of the impact the FSBW has.

The 2008 Female Sport Bike Weekend will be in Atlanta GA, June 27th-29th 2008. The event card includes an all you can bowl meet and greet, an organized ride and some very special guest speakers. Don’t forget about the party, the weekend would not be complete without a party hosted by the sweetest women of Hotlanta. To learn more about the event the ladies will be at the Female Race Wars in Atlanta in March and in Mississippi at Down South Burners event in April.
