TURNING POINT MC
Raleigh, NC
There’s one thing we all know for sure, everyone reaches a turning point in their lives where things change; a pivotal moment in time. That’s the foundation for Turning Point MC, a NC-based club founded in 2002 by its President, Mr. 954. Using that pivotal moment as entry into the club, each prospective member must share their turning point in life with current club members to first and foremost, create a bond with others by sharing what can at times be very private information. It also reminds the club members to uphold their integrity during trying times. It is important to them that they all strive to act accordingly while working to show love and respect to others.
Like most clubs, the members of Turning Point MC maintain a strong commitment to the community by donating their time and services to others. They recently donated school supplies to a local Johnston County elementary school, adopted families during the Holidays and adopted a highway in memory of their fellow fallen rider, Coolie. It is important to the members that family come first, bikes second. When the relatives of club members passed away recently, both at very young ages, members rallied together to help raise money for funeral expenses by hosting a raffle and yard sale. While they don’t advertise their charitable efforts often, all members are committed to performing at least 24 hours of community service each year.
The members also encourage young kids to perform well in school and offer incentives to do so by taking them out to ride dirt bikes. They frequently host barbecues and also enjoy paintball and hitting the dirt trails on Sunday afternoons with their 4-wheelers. Certainly tied beyond the MC community, Turning Point MC heavily supports the many entrepreneurs within their club. Supporting and networking each other’s businesses keeps this club very busy. Mr. 954 and Vice-President, Hollywood, work together at their own motorcycle mechanic shop. Other business ventures within the club include realtors, bail bonds, a towing company, boutique, hair salon, windshield repair, as well as a motorcycle gear business that outfits the entire club with their vests as well as the Turning Point Dirt Bike club for the kids.
Truly a community within a community, Turning Point MC embraces turning the throttle to the point of no return. Unusual for a lot of riders, the members of Turning Point MC bring the fullest potential out of their bikes. They ride to see what their bikes can really do and this is often seen when they all hit the racetrack, as they love to do as often as they can. For them, it’s important to learn their bikes and know the difference between say a 750 and 1000. At the same time, they also look out for one another while riding and help each other learn from their mistakes. One of their newest members, Terror, opted to join the club despite some bumps during his first trial run with the crew. It was the love and support they showed him regardless of his mistakes and his membership status that let him know they were indeed a family he wanted to be a part of.
