A True  Sistahood
Sistahs by Choice Motorcycle Club is a female non-profit organization founded on July 17, 2005 in Greensboro, North Carolina. SBC was organized and developed by a group of women who not only share an interest in riding for relaxation and recreational purposes, but who share a common vision. A vision that led to forming a dynamic female motorcycle club that would promote a positive image of women who encourage and inspire sisterhood by demonstrating women working together in harmony while making an impact in their communities.

It is their dedication to their vision, respect for one another, and the desire to serve in the communities that makes them different.

In a world where some ladies give female riders a bad rep, SBC chooses to remain sexy, but classy. Part of their vision is to socialize while maintaining an upstanding image. While most women would find being in an all-female group particularly catty, the ladies of SBC insist that their sistahood is a tight bond. They even host a monthly Ladies Night amongst themselves reminiscent of Waiting to Exhale.

“SBC is about fellowshipping with women who want to fellowship.” ~ Satyn

“Joining SBC changed my life since I have no other family here, I appreciate the love and unity from the group.” ~ D’Zire

“I now enjoy living here better because of SBC’s unity and love offered. SBC amplifies sisterhood and focuses on what not to do as an all-female club.” ~ X-Zottic

“The encouraging words, support and longtime friendship that SBC offers inside and outside the MC community brings comfort to us all.” ~ X-tacy, Ro-Deo, Radiance

All of SBC agrees that being in a motorcycle club offers countless networking opportunities. By supporting other clubs’ events, they have the chance to interact with others and get to know people they ordinarily wouldn’t.

“Being a member of SBC has allowed me to come out of my shell and meet new people.” ~ Harmonee

In addition to supporting other clubs’ parties and events, these ladies have spent a tremendous amount of time conducting charitable events for their communities. Some of the organizations and efforts they have sought to help include: Sickle Cell research, Lupus Foundation, Urban Ministries, infant mortality and teenage pregnancy reduction. As a group of wives and mothers, SBC is always sure to involve their children as much as possible to help show them what it means to give back to the community. Their kids can be seen at fish frys helping to serve food or handing out flyers and holding signs announcing the charitable events.

The Sistahs will celebrate their Christmas Extravaganza on Saturday, December 9th at DeZyres Bar & Grill in Greensboro, NC. In their continued support for the kids in the community, guests are encouraged to bring new and unwrapped toys which SBC will donate to the Salvation Army during this year’s holiday gift-giving season.
