MADE MEN MCC
Dayton, OH
History:
Made Men MCC was founded in Dayton, Ohio in the spring of 2004 by Peezy, Krome, and E-Dubb. The club quickly grew to 12 members, all of whom had ridden together for years without ever being in a club. At the end of three (3) years in existence, Made Men now sits at 39 members strong and includes a Cincinnati, Ohio chapter. Check out the “Members” page on their website at www.mademenmc.com to see their individual profiles and hear their personalized theme song.
How can one be made? If you are familiar with the term “made” in its traditional sense, one had to commit some vicious acts to be referred to in this way. It was a title that was coveted and respected. A “made man” had certain responsibilities and privileges and received special protection from his “family”. A “made man” was traditionally seen as untouchable by the law as well as by his fellow criminals, a man to be respected and feared. A “made man” was at the top of the food chain. He had already arrived to where everyone else was aspiring to get. Now, let’s look at the term “made” in the sense of the motorcycle community and a club that decided to choose this term as how they would be known. Being a “made man” is a positive thing. One does not have to commit any vicious act to become a part of this inner circle. You do have to prove yourself and your commitment to the club by completing a probationary, or “prospect” period. Being “made” in the motorcycle community is still a title that is coveted and respected. A “made man” still has certain responsibilities. He has responsibilities to his club, his community, and his family. A “made man” handles these responsibilities and takes care of his business. He doesn’t expect anyone else to take care of what he should be doing himself. Should you fear a “made man”? No. Does a “made man” deserve your respect? Most definitely, but he won’t act as though he is entitled to it, he will earn it. Made Men are at the top. They have already arrived to where other clubs are aspiring to get.

Made Men MCC is not so much a motorcycle club, as a club of motorcyclists who have become family. The club is an all male club, made up of young, working professionals. The members have diverse riding styles and therefore, diverse choices for what they roll up on. You have your typical sportbikes, for those members who prefer speed and like to do the occasional wheelie on the highway and you have a few of their members who are “all grown up” and recently purchased Harley-Davidsons. The relationship that developed with the dealership where the Harleys were purchased led to the club being sponsored by F&S Harley-Davidson, located in Dayton, Ohio. Whatever their weapon of choice, they are all enthusiastic riders who enjoy riding, socializing, and adding miles to their bikes. They get together regularly for fun and adventure and they travel throughout the nation supporting other clubs and their events. Look for them to arrive at a function in a city near you, either rolling in on their bikes or pulling up in their customized van that is marked with “Made Men” all over it!
Made Men MCC is also a club that gets involved with the community and has a strong commitment to our youth and their future. For the past three years, they have participated annually in the Martin Luther King Jr. March held on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Dayton, Ohio. They have sponsored two (2) youth football teams, donating $1000 to each team and also providing them with uniforms. They also sponsored a girls’ cheerleading squad, donating money to them so they could travel. Made Men also donated $1000 to the Ronald McDonald House in Dayton, Ohio. The Ronald McDonald House is a place where the parents of children that are in a nearby hospital can stay at night for reduced or no cost.

What is the future for Made Men MCC? They are concerned more with “quality” than “quantity”. They are very selective when it comes to who can become a member and ultimately be a “made man”. Their main focus is to continue to support the charities and youth in their local community and to continue to build a rapport and mutual respect with other clubs throughout the entire motorcycle community. If their numbers continue to increase while doing this, then that is just the icing on the cake, but it is not at all their objective to be the “biggest” club out there. They just want to continue striving to be the “best”. So, back to the question that was posed earlier.

I know, it has to come from the inside and expand out
I know, it takes courage and confidence
And maybe a little stability and sense,
To be Made is simply just a state of mind,
But it is great how a group of people can be together and combine as one,
Get along, and stay strong,
Being about the business,
And setting the pleasure aside,
A group being able to be together,
And take an organized ride,
To shine at any function,
And stay true to the name,
Congratulations Made Men,
It took time, but you finally did your thang!
